This week, The Hate U Give author Angie Thomas was overwhelmed with support on Twitter with the hashtag #AngieThomasAppreciationDay. The hashtag began after it was revealed that actor Kian Lawley will be recast in the upcoming adaptation of The Hate U Give after he was filmed using racial slurs. Fans of the book showed their support for Angie:

The New York Society Library archives allow you to see the borrowing histories of its past readers.
